pneumothorax is air (pneum/pneumo)in the chest (thorax/thoracic cavity)
haemothorax (hemothorax in USA) is blood (haem/haemo) in the chest (thorax/thoracic cavity)

exactly what it sounds like. Blood in the chest, or air in the chest. Caused by chest wounds.
