Try buffing them a couple of times a week, and put some nail hardener on them. Then use some Vaseline Intensive Care Hand and Nail Lotion, use this as often as you can throughout the day. The buffing will get the circulation going in your nail, and they will grow quickly too. Do not buff for too long as you will make your nails sore. Until, your nails start to see an improvement, try not to keep your hands wet for too long, and where possible wear gloves.
You should see an improvement in no time.
Hope this helps.

Prenatal vitamins are a great thing to use....whether you're pregnant or not. My sister & quite a few of my friends who have kids swear by them & tell me to take them. Another thing to try is one of those products by Sally Hansen. I use Miracle Cure for Severe Problem Nails because I have a problem with weak nails that bend, break, split & peel. This is what's guaranteed with it:
* 50% Stronger nails in 3 days
* Exclusive Micro-Mineral formula fills in cracks to strengthen and reinforce nails.
* Instantly stops peeling, seals and bonds nail layers together.
* Strong "moisture magnets" help restore essential moisture to dry nails.
* Natural protein and powerful anti-oxidants penetrate to help strengthen nails from within.
* You'll get stronger, smoother, healthy-looking, resilient nails
It works great!

sally hansen hard as nails is fantastic, i get mine from tescos. My nails were always breaking until i started using this now they are nice and long and strong, remember though to file them regularly.
There is also a product called magic nails, this is very good, although can be hard to get hold off, i have seen this on ebay, see what you can find

if your nails are weak it shows that you are deficient in calcium, so you need to eat more dairy products like cheese, milk, yoghurts and it will help make your nails stronger and less likely to break. Also if your nails are weak, don't let them grow too long, as the longer they get the weaker they are, so file them regularly... this does all actually help make your nails stronger, I have tried it!

Sally Hansen makes a great "polish" for brittle nails. They sell it in most grocery/drugstores.
