Ah, I have this problem all the time. Usually I give in to my urges, which sometimes leads to me not doing so well. I think the best thing to do is a little of both. For instance, I know that on Monday I have a project due and I'm still working on it. But I have to go to the grocery store and I know if I don't go I won't be able to concentrate on my work. So I'm going out a little bit early and returning home early and that way I have the rest of the night to work.
:D

Keep thinking about the goal you want to obtain. Make a list of all the bad things that could happen if you don't prepare or if you just blow it off and go out and do something fun. Then keep reading the list over and over and keep telling yourself its not worth it. You can do all those fun things once its over.
Good Luck!!

you should attempt Zen Buddhist meditation. that's meant to assist build concentration. different than that i might wager you're quite bored with the subjects too. i understand for myself that i will spend quite fairly some time and be very purpose on issues that i'm interested in, yet as quickly as my activity flags it quite is confusing to stay on the job. while i became in college i got here across that a pair of million/2 the way by way of a direction i became already accustomed to the direction textile and had lost all activity in it. the end result became my grades began to fall interior the 2d and 0.33 semesters too. So are you able to rigidity your self to pay interest on the job is the question, and the respond is merely in keeping with risk. between the words they used to apply rather of interest deficit became "Selective interest". with the flexibility to be distracted isn't completely undesirable you recognize. An ape figuring out on berries interior the wooded area may be in fairly some worry if it concentrated to heavily on the berry figuring out on. it would probable get eaten by ability of a predator via fact it wasn't distracted by ability of the small noises the predator made. i think of our primitive ancestors picked some berries and then spent it gradual looking around to work out what became interior the shadows. in keeping with risk an analogous attitude might paintings. How small of goods are you able to split the challenge into? are you able to respond to 5 questions and then take quarter-hour to do something else, then answer 5 greater etc? might it paintings with a timer for answer breaks? ought to you write your essay one paragraph at a time? I want you success on your classes.

Maybe you need a break. Experts say you should only study or focus on a task for 45 minutes at a time... rest for 15 minutes than try again.

Disconnect from the internet! Turn off the computer if possible also. Move to another room without a TV. And have MORE coffee.

Do waht you want, because if you get it out of the way, you will stop thinking about that activiity. Also phsycial activity and food also help your brain think. So give yourself a committed amount of time, a half or hour, and then come in and study.

If your minds not into it, go ahead and do something you enjoy, relax or something. I've learned that when I force myself to do something when not in the zone, I don't do so well. Listen to your body - take a break. When you take a crack at it later, you will be ready to give it an energetic go! trust me.
