i need to know what this means right away! I am doing some class work and I am in my medical terminology class and I need to know what that means along with (SLOW BREATHING) and (BREATHING IN A STRAIGHT UPRIGHT POSTION). Any doctors on or nurses who mite know the answers?????

lol apnea or sleep apnea
yea i have that and i know what it feels like to ask someone "hey ever forget to breathe?" but they just look at you like you are crazy and dont know how to use your lungs -.-
yea at night it will be really quiet but then you notice it is too quiet and proceed to take a deep breath in
i cant remember if there is a cure.. there must be though

apnea (temporarily not breathing), agonal breathing is slow irregular breaths,?straight upright position is called High Fowler's position--sometimes useful if one is short of breath lying down, in other words, has orthopnea

eupnea is normal breathing ....in any position

apnea is no breathing

tachypnea is rapid breathing

hypopnea is slow breathing

I believe it is called "apnea". Not sure if I spelled that right, but hopefully that will help.

"Apnea" is the absence of breathing.
"Bradypnea" is slow breathing.
"Orthopnea" is upright breathing.
