because they care and love their children and just want what is best for them because they have lived life already and want to teach their children not to make any mistakes they did and also they world we live in so many things awful happen and they as parents have to protect their children and also because they created you and have a strong bond and to mothers no matter what age you get you will always be their baby

In a nut shell.
Because we were young at one time and thought we knew better than our parents, then we had kids and finally knew the meaning of
"Wait till you have kids of your own."
Think about it. Would you rather have parents that care about you or those who don't?

They do that because they love you and you won't really understand until you have kids of your own. Trust me, you will understand later in life.
