pedro first, clemens, johnson glavine in that order... clemens has blown many important games in the playoffs and world series.. many.. i dont care about his era. he has stayed around long enough to rack up many records.. for about 6 years pedros numbers were unmatched by anybody since koufax. johnson is a thrower. glavine has been consistently solid.. one game in the best of their prime ,one pitcher and ill take pedro over clemens cause clemens gets so amped up he has control problems..pedro would of thrown a 4 hit shutout with 10 strikeouts. glavine isnt in the league of the top three.. koufax is and even greg maddux.

In all time rankings, they would rate:

Clemens
Martinez
Johnson
Glavine

You have to keep in mind that Pedro hasn't really had a true 'decline phase' to his career yet, but Johnson has. Martinez has some good years left, but if he pitches as long as Clemens and Johnson, his all time rating may go down slightly.... (then again, it might not)

As much of a Tom Seaver fan as I was growing up, I think Clemens is probably the best pitcher over the last 40 years at least, and may be the best ever, period.... Clemens is actually the only one of the four who has a legitimate argument to be called the best pitcher ever (Pedro needs to win a lot more games, which he undoubtedly will, before he can be called the best ever in terms of career value).

Four future hall of famers, yet Roger Clemens is a notch better than the other three. My list would be Clemens, Martinez, Johnson, and Glavine. Clemens has been overpowering hitters for 20 years. Even Johnson overpower hitters, his fastball doesn't explode like Clemens fastball. Out of the four, Glavine has the best breaking pitches, and Martinez the best curve ball. Yet Clemens has amazing control despite a fastball in the 96 mph zone.
