No, you're not being mean. You're displaying a fantastic sense of timing. Do turn in early, before your friends whack you (you hang out with the mafia?), get warm, relax.. Your friends will understand, surely?

No. Everyone needs an early night once and awhile. Plus, the sooner you feel better the sooner you'll be able to go out again.
