I have a question about chcicken eggs.?

OK well I have a chcicken and has laid me 4 eggs. I brought the egga home. They are fertilized and they should be hatching any day now. I was going to bring the eggs back to her when they hatched. Unfortunaly, she has passed away. Now I dont know what to do with the babies when they htach. Should I keep that at home? Or should I just put them back in the barn with a heat lamp? I need answers!

witout the mother incubating them it is doubtful they will hatch. If they do keep them in a box and keep the heat lamp on them at 85 degrees until they are 2 weeks old them move the heat lamp a litel further away so the temp is slightly cooler- say between 75-79 degrees. Keep the ehat lamp at this level until they are able to be put outside. They should not go out until they are at least 6 weeks old. If it cold out then you will ahve to keep the heat lamp on them or they will freeze at night.

You can put them i na container with a heat lamp and chick starter feed and water. They will do fine.
I raise most of my chicks away from the hens.
We take them out after they hatch and put them in a smaller pen area with a heat lamp and the food and water. They do great.
I raised 25 like this and 7 with the hen. The ones with the hens are sort of sppoky and not as friendly as the others.

Put them in a box in your house. Hang a small light bulb down in the box to keep them warm. That way you can keep an eye on them. They want make too big of a mess since they are in a box. When they get big enough, put them in the barn.
