I would be willing to drive an hour or so. I live in central IL, so Champaign, Bloomington, Peoria, Springfield, and Decatur would all be possibilities. I can't seem to find anything through my college's career center.

Try contacting the companies you would like to intern for directly. Some of them will offer you an internship that hasn't been posted or advertised. Make sure they are companies that interest you and match your prospective career field.
