Do the Yankees get the players from the orgaization they bought? I honestly have no clue how that works, Columbus is in talks with Baltimore, does that mean they get Baltimore's current players and staff? please help, i am confused

The players and coaches that are with Columbus would go to whatever team the Yankees affiliate with. Whatever team (if any) decides to pick up Columbus as their AAA affiliate would get that team's AAA players and staff.

The same thing happened a few years ago when the San Diego Padres dropped Las Vegas as their AAA team and the L.A. Dodgers picked them up - the Padres players went to the new AAA affiliate in Portland.

They follow the team, i believe they are still part of the Yankee Corp. Now whats an interesting question is, are those player's contracts grnteed. If they are then the Yankees have to keep them just like any other business that moves or pay them off. If not they may be able to dump them, but i dont think so

They'll shift the whole operation to a new location. The Columbus Clippers will operate under the same name unless no other ML team buys an affiliation or changes the team name.

Players and staff always remain with the parent organization unless specified otherwise.
