You need to understand what the technologies used are, first.
As Surveyor mentioned, some (radar) are used to look under the earth. Others (GPS) are used to more accuratley map the earth, etc.
Geologists also need to know what the earth is MADE of -- so technologies that allow more precise understanding of the makeup of the earth's parts are used. This includes chemical analysis equipment such as mass spectrometers to determine what atomic elements and compounds are present, and physical analysis equipment such as electron microscopes to help understand the physical structure of those parts.
Also geologists need to understand how the parts of the earth move and interract with one another, so things like seismometers and geophones help them to measure motion in the form of earthquakes, etc (to help understand the plates and how they move) or to bounce sound waves off deeply hidden structures within the earth to better map them (for oil exploration, etc.).
In all of these cases, technological innovations in the form of new inventions help them examine new types of data that they could not examine before, while technological innovations in terms of improved technology let them get better data than they could get before, and innovations in manufacturing technology allow them to have less expensive instruments than before, allowing more people to do more work and gather more data, resulting in more meaningful answers.
So the search terams I would use are things like:
"what tools do geologists use?"
"what instruments do geologists use?"
"how do geologists know [or, determine] _______" (fill in the blank with a specific thing they study)
and you will have a list of instruments and technologies.
Then, do a search for "manufacturer of _____" (fill in the instrument), or "advances in _____" (fill in the technology) and you should come across some great information to help you understand what the advances have been and how they help the field.

How has technological innovations influenced the work of geologists?
I tried this and seemed to get some results that appear to answer your question.
I also put a call into my stepdad who has a doctorate in Geology and Paelobotany. When I hear back from him I'll post his response for you.
Good luck with your paper.

Some of the major points as to HOW Geologists work gets done with better effect is from:
1-Greater computing power.
2-Electronics that can survive severe operating conditions.
3-Enhanced sensor physics.
4-Communication and data-delivery systems that offer real-time capabilities. Actually typing in "how do technological innovations change what Geologists do? will give you artical links that you may have to skim through.

Hold on I will ask my "smart husband"....ok he says...since a geologists studies rocks...and technological innovations is new stuff...think CSI things like sonar...satelites...gas chromograph-mass spectrometer...maybe try new technology for geologists...or a geology newsletter....annals of geology...American geological society....good luck!

touch welfare and tell them what you wrote above. they are regularly greater desirable than happy to locate a house for one in each of those toddler. tell them you're prepared to take a dna attempt (nicely, no longer you; your fiance, could supply a pattern). As blood kinfolk, the courts provides you with particular rights to the youngster. or you may report a petition in relatives court docket for custody of the youngster and the court docket can order a dna attempt. Paternity could be commonplace posthumously. yet attempt welfare first (touch their criminal expert). reliable luck. regularly, the court docket will award the youngster to the mummy, yet no longer if she is undeserving. plenty relies upon on the situations.
