Let's say it's a job you like but you have to travel up to 12 weeks.

If I was single again, you bet. In fact if I was single, I would try to find a job that lets me travel as much as possible.

Since I have a family, I am much less inclined to travel that much.

There was a time when I loved traveling for work. I get to accumulate miles and points from air lines and hotels, then use them for my personal trips.

Given that there are so many people hating American right now, there are places that I would rather not visit at this time. So I will need to know where are the locations/countries the company is expecting me to go. I would be willing to take some risks if the pay is right. Also find out if the company is generous with their travel policy. I heard a particular big footprint discount store put more than one person in the same dorm room. I don't know how you feel about sharing a room with someone else. I know I wouldn't put up with it.

Good luck.

I want to travel!!!! That would be a great job for me; 12 weeks/ 52 weeks isn't long at all.

It would depend on a bunch of things--where are you traveling to? If they are places you'd enjoy, and expenses will be paid, it sounds like it could be a good gig.
Another major consideration would be if you have a family or not--are you willing to be on the road away from your family and friends for that long?
Sounds like it could be fun, but may also be stressful and take its toll on your personal life. If it were me, I probably wouldn't do it, unless I could bring my husband along! I love to travel and see new places, but I don't need all the stress of airports and being away from people I love for extended periods of time...

well depends...is it travelling all twelve weeks at once or spread out over the year.
I travelled for 360 days in a year for 6 years straight.
but then again I was making over a million a year all expenses paid.
