Okay I'm 18 about to be 19 and for my Bday which is in exactly 15 days I want to get my navel pierced. The prob is my mom says I can't cuz it's too sexy and crap, What bothers me is the fact the legally i could've gotten it done a looooooong time ago, and I'm trying to be an adult about it and respect her while i live in her house but it's like dang nobody's ever gonna see the freakin thing! so yeah any suggestions would be helpful

Honey, if you are wanting to be an adult, then save the money you would be spending on body piercings and get your own place. Then you can pierce whatever you want to without having to ask. Your mother is probably thinking of you when she says no, and trying to find a way to change her mind is not respect, it is deceit. If you really don't care about her opinion, just go get it done. Otherwise, find something else that makes you feel cool or pretty or whatever you were going for.

Navel piercing is upto u gal! What is freaky out here is the PAIN and the after effects of piercing! U hav to take care that no infection crops in the area. U hav to wipe it everyday with an anti-bacterial solution etc. to keep it clean. Rashes in the area are about to come. U hav to bear all these crap...!!
Now u decide babe, u wanna pierce ur navel??

If you are about to be 19, then you are an adult. Get out on your own and quit living like a kid. You can do whatever you want then.

Have it your way - you will repent it in the future but will enjoy it for now (yes only for now which may be very short)
Have it your mum's way - you will be sad for now ( yes only for now which is again only short time) but happy for not doing for years.
And why do you want piercing in an area if you do not want to show it off?
Think about the future. - Fashions trends change, but scars dont.

sit her down and explain to her why you want it so bad. bring up the fact that her ears are pierced and there's nothing different. and tell her you are old enough to decide what happens to your body, she's not gonna be there forever to say what you can and cannot do to your body so its gonna happen sooner or later.

just do it... its in a place where if you want people to see it you can show them and if you dont want it to be seen, it's easily hide-able... my mom took me to get mine pirced when i was 15.. then she got hers pierced a couple years later.. just dont tell her... or tell her that youre an adult and you can do whatever u want
