I was just wondering. I think you should answer my question because i am a girl and i do not really want to look like my dad (no offense. i guess because he is like 170 pounds overweight)

How you look is determined by genetics. It's pretty much a random thing. One trait will dominate the other and you'll end up looking like them. I look just like my dad, but I know many girls who are spitting images of their mothers. Also, when it comes to weight, you won't necessarily inherit his weight. How much you weigh is based on how you take care of yourself, not how much your dad weighs.

Just because your dad is 170 lbs overweight doesn't mean that you will be too.
It's genetics...just think of all the people on this planet and it makes sense that it can come from both parents...lots of mixing of genes.

Varies, usually depends on which genes is stronger the mom or dad. and you'll look like one of both of them.

It completely varies; as that may be...I do look like my dad more, but it can vary from family to family.

no sometimes they look like their dad sometimes their mom sometimes both sometimes none. but its funny u say that cuz i act alot like my mother but everyone says i look just like my dad.
