If erasing on a computer, place the cd-rw in the tray and close it. Click on start and go to my computer. Click on the cd drive icon which opens in a new window. There should be an option to erase on the left side of the screen (if you're using Windows XP). If not, check in EDIT at the top of the screen and see if there is an option there.
If erasing on a stand alone CD recorder, use the erase button.

Your burning software should have an option for it somewhere. It may be difficult to find.

If you go to burn something new on it, your software will probably say "HEY, you want to ERASE THIS??!!" ... or something like that.

Always choose quick erase, as one time I chose full erase, which took so long, I stopped it, and the cd-rw was unusable.
