My partner and i have been together for 2 years but have split in between this. He is a good man and would do anything for me, my son and even my mum. I help him financially as he is out of work right now but is looking, but he does contribute when he can, so why am i feeling so insecure about him right now. I feel like he is only with me as he cant get anyone else, even though he has cared for me since i had a major operation 3 months ago. I dont want to lose him but my anxiety is taking over this relationship. What should i do??

You just seem to have a low opinion of yourself. Trust me, i went through a long phase with my boyfriend where i thought he was only with me because he didn't want to hurt me by dumping me. That was about 6 years ago. I got through it, and now realise he loves me for who i am. Nobody stays with someone out of politeness. If he is a good man (he sounds lovely), then i'm sure if he wasn't with you, he'd be snapped up! But HE IS WITH YOU! His own choice!! He see's in you what you cannot, but you will one day! He has his own mind and opinions and he chooses to share them with you. Please don't let your insecurity drive him away. You have to trust, (a relationship is nothing without it), no matter how hard it is. The rewards are worth it a thousand times over. I hope this helps!

Insecurities can ruin a perfectly good relationship. Why not sit down and talk with him about it....it maybe hard to bring it up at first...but at least you can relieve all this anxiety you've been building up inside of you. Its not good for your health especially after your operation. Im sure he would appreciate your honesty with him and it will also show that you care about the relationship and him. You never know...he might be feeling insecure during this time too....
talk it through...good luck!
