Expressing "individuality" by following a fad... Insecure... Naive... Easily manipulated...
Yes Alexikai... It's "just who you are"... and MANY, MANY, others... LOL. Desire to be set apart in some positive way and a feeling that piercings, tatoos, etc... are the only way they can accomplish that... Naive, insecure...
"just my personal choice"... Wow Christine... You sure control your own destiny. That proves it!!!... Uh... You could try to control something that actually matters... Insecure, naive...
"they just are a part of me"... Yeah Hanna... Why do you need an extra part? Does this part improve you?... Insecure, naive...

to be honest, now it just makes he seem she is "normal" because everybody has their navel pierced and i'd say 40% of the kids i meet at parties have their tounges pierced. im not going to count these people out as being wild or confident but it just is too much of the norm now to really step back and say, "wow, that person must be wilid" i like getting piercings more for the expiercence, i like how it feels, more than the after aethestic look of them

I don't think it says anything about her personality really. So many people have piercings, tattoos and weird hair etc, that it's hardly the rebelious statement it used to be. We're all so used to seeing that sort of thing now. I work with a woman who had her belly button pierced on her 50th birthday just becasue she felt like it. I think it's just personal choice whether you like the look of them or not.

It doesn't make me feel like a bad as* because I have them it's just me and who I am I like piercings but hate getting shots lol.

I agree with cate. It only means that she likes piercings, and nothing more.
Yes, she probably is confident since she was willing to go through with it. Besides the pain, she had to allow a strange person to see her and touch her to get it done. If she was shy or squeamish, she may not have had the courage to get both done.
Get to know her better before you try to put a label on her. Don't dump people into categories based on appearances. It's almost never true once you get to know them.

In this conservative society people face prejudice because of tats and piercings. Having tattoos and piercings say nothing about your personality.

It could mean that she is daring. Ina good way. I like piercings, but I also go to church, and I am faithful to my husband, so it more than likley not a bad thing.

I think it says that she wants to be just a bit wild, but is actually quite afraid of public opinion.

It might, but it probably means she just likes the way piercings look.
