It was Peter Cartwright, called the "boy preacher" in his youth, and later the best-known of the circuit-riding early Methodist missionary evangelist/preachers. I highly recommend his autobiograhy to any interested in early (American) church history and Christianity.

I don't understand how your reference and question have any relation, please clarify. Walmart is evil with or without supporting gays and lesbians and who cares if they do, I would rather pay an extra dollar and buy my goods locally. Talk about a moral issue Walmart employees people at poverty levels, Buys goods from foreign lands and imports them adding to greenhouse gases and in general is not a very ethical company. I am glad that the Chinese Walmarts unionized.
