Why don't you have your friend ask us?
We would call her trash if she wants to move in with another guy while she's still married.
You ask if it can affect the divorce? Sure it can. You didn't say if there are kids involved, if the husband wants a divorce, if the state is a "no fault" state, or if she had any assets to lose. But surely she will lose her reputation.
In addition, "some states" have laws on the books still, that you can't live with another person of the opposite sex and not be married to them or it's illegal.

Yes she can live with another man. I moved in with my bf while he was separated and going through a divorce. The wife at the time was living with another man too. There were children involved. For us, it didn't cause any problems while the divorce was going on.

It won't hold up an uncontested divorce, or cause problems if her husband isn't looking for custody, spousal support, etc. If he is, that's another matter entirely. Certainly, I'd advise her to wait to move in at least until the settlement agreement has been signed by both parties.

I don't know what legal problems that poses for her, but I can come up with several spiritual problems. She is not divorced yet, point blank.

I did. I filed for my divorce in May and started living with someone else. I think as long as you have filed then it should be ok.

You asked two opposite questions,
No legal problems if she moves in, if she is separated living on her own. It's a free country.
She shouldn't if the X owns weapons.

if your friend is legally separated, check their paperwork from court........and the laws about legal separation, Like if a man and woman is legally separated and one of them wins the lottery, the other has no ties to the winning. at least that's the way it is in my state,......check local laws
