Old-----------Worn out, knackered.Not New.

We're all old every minute of every day... we become older, older, older on each passing of a moment.

Once we' are born we are no longer new.

Whats in a number..nothing.........

Too me the word old when appertaining to another human being
is not right because each different person grows at a different rate, their outlooks, views, anything with getting (as you ask old)
I know some people in their thirties who's views and lifestyles would put them in to the class of being 'OLD' and some people in their seventies who's outlook is still vibrant and young.

Me......Well I feel like an eighteen year old.but there you go .so called too old to have one... sorry for the pun.

Old means goes back a long way. Old rocks are those that originated early in the Earth's existence, say 3 or more billion years ago. Old friends are the ones you've had for a long time. But they may exist for longer in the future than they have in the past, so old doesn't imply near the end.

Whenever you ask a question like this it all becomes relative.
Old is as old as young is young.
How many times have we heard a seventy year old speak about the ninety year old as 'That old woman' Or a three year old call a one year old 'A baby.'

These days the term doesn't exist - only older.
It varies, some are sprightly in their 60's, but even they must be struggling at 70. So, anyone past that age have to be called 'old' - just don't tell them that.

Hey, I know lots of people who are still sprightly in their 70's!

Just think of Bruce Forsythe, he's around 75 I think and he is still going strong! My Mum is 62 and she is fitter than I am! She swims, practises Yoga, does aerobics, cycles and walks. So I don't think that she will be struggling in 8 years time coz if she is you can guarantee I will be and I am only 33!
