bearshare is set up the same way as napster and itunes where you have to buy the songs that you download. There are chances in Bearshare that you can dowload songs that are free. Limewire is the best but the problem with peer-to-peer programs, if the user has a virus or spyware on there machine, it can attach itself to that file and you might download a corrupt or infected file. Other programs like kazaa, is s*it and I would not recommend you downloading that program

I prefer limewire; because you want get virus; makes you computer go the same speed as it always has. It has more and better music and audio to choose from. It's free, safe and fast. I would recommend to anyone.

Limewire is dangerous! you get viruses on your computer because you are taking the music from there people! its screwed up our computer!!

I used napster til the lawsuits started, then just put all my cd's onto a 300 gig hard drive.

I don't know. I thought the music industry shut those down, because the creators of the music were not getting their royalties.
