You have to remember that sperm can live up to five days in a woman's body if she has good quality fluid for them to swim in. You also need to have a short pre-ovulatory phase for this to occur.

Example: if your period ends on the 6th day (sometimes possible) and you have sex on the 9th day and you have wet cervical fluid so that his sperm lasts for up to five days, it will put you at day 14 which could be around the time you ovulate.

Anyone agree with this scenario?

Techinically, anything is possible. However, most women I have known to try and concieve, tried about 10 to 14 days after menstruation. If you think you could be pregnant wait until after your next period and if it doesn't come, take a test. A month isn't too long to wait and you still have all options availiable to you to deal with your pregnancy.

That's how most of the accidents have been born - women think they are safe and out pops little Johnny 9 months later.
