is any one else mad about how people treat animals? 2 of my neighbors moved out and abandoned their dogs. there was 4 stray dogs. 2 of them have already died. and my current neighbors dog isnt treated well at his house and is always at mine. i love all these animals to death, but i cannot afford to take care of them all. i make 5.50 an hour. i live withmy mom. it just makes me so mad the way people treat animals. i wish there were harsher animal cruelty laws

Yeah, tell me about it! I spend half of my time on Yahoo! Answers chewing people out for asinine remarks about animal cruelty. It's disgusting on both the Internet and in real life; I think people should actually have licenses to own even a dog, because half of the animals owned are abused anymore, and nobody ever really seems to want to do anything about it.

yea it makes me furious but what do we do? Report them or call a shelter to get help for the animals (a no kill shelter) I also feel bad for kids with parents who have no business having kids ( which is most of the new parents.) Kids don't have a home life anymore because parents never have them at home. And these are also people who don't need animals because there are never home to take care of them.

I hate seeing or hearing about abused animals too. The main thing I do is sign a whole lot of petitions on care2.com and hope they make a difference. I honestly don't know how I'd react if I physically saw someone abusing an animal. I don't know if I'd be able to control myself.

there are harsher laws, you shouldcall in an abuse report to the local animal control officer, and definitley call about the abandoned dogs. they could be put in the shelter and be found good homes.

We live in a throw away society and that I'm afraid that also applies to animals,you should give your local humane society a call and have these people procecuted.Or atleast have the animals rehomed.

I hear ya honey, and I agree with you 100% !!
It would have been more humane if they had shot the dogs, instead of leaving them to starve.
I have rescued a lot of dogs, but it does cost a lot to keep them. I currently have 2 rescued dogs, and my son has 2.

Tell me about it I use to work in an animal shelter! You'd be surprized how many stupid neglectfull pet owners are out there! We had a pure bred persian cat come in because "she " was spraying the house. So we checked and "Sara" is a boy, so we took the pink collar off and changes his name, got him fixed and adopted him out! We had so many skinny, abused, neglected pets come in it almost drove us all to drink....

that is so awful! i don't personally know anyone who abuses their pets but if i did i'd be frustrated as well if i couldn't afford to care for them. but i'm very glad to hear your opinion on the matter is what it is!

omg yes!!! i feel so bad for them. did you know that they use bunnies to test shampoo?? they remove their eyelids and then put the shampoo in their eye! if it turns red their shampoo is not "tear" free.
that is so cruel. and after they test them they kill the bunny because...well they think that it would be kinda hard to live with no eye lids...
