An open marriage can only work when both of the partners are totally committed to one another and the is absolutely NO jealousy at all, and TOTAL and COMPLETE trust of and with each other. Our greatest lovemaking occured after we came home from a swingers party, after we had talked about each of our experiences while driving home. It can be a wonderful variety experience for a marriage or the worst nightmare....it totally depends on the couples state of mind when they go into it and while they are in it. If it ever starts to become a problem for eaither one....it is time to get completely out of it!!! It isn't worth destroying a marriage for.

It works for men but not for women! So that gives it a 50/50 chance! Depens who files the divorce papers. By the way as a Divorce attroney/mediator I see this all the time and yes the other 50% always ends up filing the papers. I have yet to see a woman ask for the open marriage. If any of you are out there I would like to hear more.

It would only work if both had the same view on it. That is not likely though. It ruins more than it fix. And besides, what's the point in being married or having a partner if you're gonna have an "open relationship"?

It's is absolutely WRONG. Why marry then if you wanna stay "open"? Marriage isn't something you play around with. Stay single then if you wanna play the field. Open relationships are ridiculous.
