If the ultrasound tech said girl then it's a girl. Don't listen to what other people--those without medical degrees--have to say. Congrats. Here's a cute quiz with ultrasound pics and you try to tell if it's boy or girl

Are you saying your belly is too pointy? Don't worry about how your belly looks or how you are carrying, that's not always accurate. Ultrasounds are a lot more accurate. The only other way I know of is to do a wives tales test at http://www.childbirth.org/articles/boyorgirl.html, it was always accurate for me but I always had girls.

What is too pointy? If you have had one ultrasound that said it was a girl without uncertainty after 20 weeks gestation, it is an accurate reading. You could have your ultrasound pictures scanned and submit them to a pregnancy forum site moderated by a U/S technition, but that would just be for fun.

Our older women were able to tell long before ultrasound was invented. They would look at the expectant mother. A girl (inside) mom would make mom "bloom". A boy, on the other hand, may bring on a slight change in the mom's skin pigmentation ( an almost imperceptible darkening of the skin) particularly in the area about the neck, shoulders and armpit.
Whatever the sex of the child is, celebrate it! What a gift you have!
May you have a safe delivery.

Sorry, the only way to be sure of your baby's sex is to give birth and see it for yourself. The only other way is an ultrasound but even these aren't 100%accurate.
Old wives tales need to be taken with a pinch of salt, for they are not to be trusted as being accurate

Too pointy? To make sure she is a girl, let her be born first. I have seen lots of sonagram surprises. So don't build that girl nursery and buy the dresses yet.

only two ways to be completely sure - amnio and birth. I wouldn't recommend the amnio.

spin around three times, if you fall forward then it's a girl if you fall backwards then it's a boy, if you fall sideways get a kilt.
