Women do NOT live 15-20 years longer. The gap is now about 5 years. That must be an outdated source.

mostly due to higher risk lifestyle of men
(more smoking, drinking and longer distances driven)
the people dying now are generally older
As younger women engage more fully in these activities, the gap narrows.

Remember, this calculation is based on an average.
More men die young. Fewer women are reckless and therefore most women don't die in avoidable accidents, where as a lot of young men do.

Because, generally, men spend most of their life working while most women don't, staying at home with kids, etc. Men have a lot more stress to deal with.

They handle stress better because they are able to express their emotions more freely than men. They traditionally eat better, and as far as I know that statistic is incorrect.
Women live to an average age of 77, and men to 72.

One theory is that women externalize their emotions more where as men internalize their emotions which causes stress hormones to be released which damage the heart. Another theory is that men retain Iron in their livers where as women loose it during menstruation. This build up of iron in theory leads to heart conditions. I think the bottom line is it could be more than one factor and they don't know the full answer yet.

Because while women gather strawberries and wall-nuts, man hunt mammoths and get killed or sick...
But then why do women earn less then man... Sadly but fact. And also men tend to do the more stressful job which leads to bad health.
And who knows what God meant when he 'programmed' us that way...
