My office used to be Church back at the turn of the century. I learned that it's basement doubled as a mortuary or at least a place where they kept the bodies before funerals could be held upstairs. Late at night, there are strange sounds like muffled human voices. On one occasion, I felt a cold chill, then caught an image of a human figure behind me. When I turned, it disappeared. Others have had similar experiences.

Yes, I was raised in a "haunted" house.

There was one room in particular where people would see the image of an older woman. Sometimes she would be sitting in a chair reading (the chair didn't exist either) and sometimes she would come into the room a t night and mess with the window or the bed covers. The house was a TB sanitarium in the Victorian times and we believe she was the matron at that time.

We also would hear amazing crash sounds but nothing would be disturbed. The spookiest part for me was that I would hear my name being called. Not really loudly but like it was in the distance. A friend of mine heard it too so it wasn't just my imagination.

There were 5 stone steps up to the section of the house where my brother and I had our bedrooms and we would often hear footsteps on those steps. At first we both thought it was the other one coming to bed but eventually we realized that the footsteps did not belong to anyone!

My apartment is haunted. I'll be in the shower, and every now and then it'll get really cold and you can see an imprint of a small child's hand from the elbow up... like he's pressing it on the outside of the shower door. Then it slides down and disappears. First time I saw it I thought I was imagining things. Then one day while my girlfriend was showering, she let out a blood curdling scream. I went in to see what was wrong, but I already knew. She had seen it too. We've seen it about 4 times since we moved in a year ago. I got a glimpse of a small child in the mirror the last time, that's how I know he's a small boy. He saw me looking and glared back at me before disappearing. I was cold for days.

I used to live in a house that many weird things happened - 1. My sisters friend used to come to our house before school and they would go together, one day the friend turned up when my sister was in the shower she rang the doorbell but my sister didnt hear it, the door was open so she called out hello.. she heard my sister call out come in so she let herself in my sister came out of the shower and downstairs and screamed in fright because she didnt know her friend was there and yet this friend distinctly heard a voice like my sisters saying come in.

Once I was upstairs and was sure I saw a guy walk past downstairs from the kitchen to the front door - I didnt know this guy so was a bit freaked - I went downstairs and there was nobody there.

My cousins used to have a ghost living at their house the only difference was they knew they could speak to this ghost - apparently they heard a skateboard like sound and then this ghost would show herself - the ghost wouldnt speak to them so they had someone come in and have a look around and she said that the ghost was there to protect one of my cousins from something although she didnt know what - after about a year the ghost went away so we can only assume that my cousin was protected from what ever it was and the ghost moved on.

Im actually getting chills typing this out LOL

One time when I was about 11 years old I was getting ready for bed. I used to listen to this kids show on a local Christian radio station and never had problems tuning it in. On this particular night, there was a lot of interference and I kept trying to fine tune the signal as it was full of static. After about a minute or so I half jokingly said "Leave my radio alone Satan". At that moment some real heavy metal sounding music blared (I did not adjust the volume and it was LOUD!) and a sinister sounding voice said "I've got my eye on you. I've got my eye on you".
I have asked many, many heavy metal fans over the years if they knew what song it was and can sing it to this day. No one I've consulted has ever heard it before. Creeped me out. Do I think it was Satan? Don't know.... you?

Have a great day!!!

gee- the hair on my neck stood up as I wrote this.

yup,five spooky experience.
One was when I was a baby, I can't remember but it was told among my family that deals with me. No one can forget it, but I sure can't remember it. One was when I saw something at my room window looking in on me. It wasn't human. I just covered myself and forced myself to sleep. One was when I had a dream of someone holding me pushing me down and when I woke up And tried to move, I couldn't. One was when My siblings and I were watching a movie and then all of a sudden the basement door started to jiggle. The weird thing was, no one was in the house except us watching the movie. Another time My sister saw a ugly head pass by the window. I thought was a lie but then another neighbor ran out naked saying she saw a head alone bobbing by her shower room which was outside of her house. There are alot more.

Hey thanks Kellybug for sharing your experience.
Here's what happened to me: we lived in a house that was really cold all the time even in summer I mean we didn't even need AC. Any ways this one time I went out to throw out the trash it was late at night after 11 I would say, and the garbage bin was behind the house, so I go out and while I'm waking towards the trash can I turn around and see a little baby(approx. 1 yr old) with nothing but his diapers on running around with a little ball in his hands, so I blinked and he's gone.

My childhood home was haunted. The spirit moved on to the other side, or maybe to another home. T Vs used to turn on by themselves, doors would close, footsteps could be heard at night climbing and descending the stairs. Really creepy stuff. My friends would never even come back to the house after they experienced the occurrences.

not spooky, my grandma raised me and one of my sisters, we were the only 2 from our mother, well, she got sick and died, there's a light above the stove that would be turned off at night and in the morning, before anyone got up, it would be on. I believe she's watching over us, and I believe that was her way of showing us that too, she was always in our kitchen when we were little

I was looking for a roommate, and this guy from the apartment complex I was in came along. He said he was a twin, later I found that his twin never lived and his mother has the twin in a glass jar on the mantle in her home (which grossed me out). When this guy came to live with me he brought in all his stuff and as he went to the bedroom, the front door closed by itself. I was a little frightened but never said anything. Three months later when he moved out he moved all his stuff out and left the front door open.....minutes later the door closed by itself. He used to say his twin was still with him in spirit. I couldn't help thinking that that spirit that was closing the door by itself was his twin.
