No. It is often just a few drops of old blood that is brown or pinkish. Some women have none at all and others, especially if they wear dark underwear, may never notice anything. A lack of implantation blood does not mean the pregnancy is unhealthy.

However, chemical pregnancies and etopic pregnancies never implant at all so pre-natal care early in a pregnancy is important to rule out events that could impair future fertility.

Implantation bleeding can happen at the time the fertilized egg implants in the uterus, on average between 6 to 12 days past ovulation. It is vaginal discharge which usually contains a small amount of pinkish or brownish blood. Only about 1 in 3 pregnant women experience implantation bleeding.
The presence of implantation bleeding does not increase the overall risk of miscarriage, however. Most pregnancies will continue until term without further bleeding.
I did have implantation bleeding and it happened at the same time my regular cycle would have begun. My conception date was around May 14, 2005 and was having implantation bleeding around May 31, 2005, which is when my regular cycle was to begin, just to give you a time frame. Hope this info helps.

No. I had zero bleeding my whole 9 months of pregnancy, including at time of implantation. It doesn't always happen. If your wife/S.O. is trying to get pregnant and having breakthrough bleeding, she should call her ob/gyn just to make sure it isn't something else.
