Hi, me again: Why do some think just because you don't speak English you are an illegal immigrant?

Yeah Ive been skulking around again and noticed questions about immigrants and how some think they are sucking all of our hard earned tax money. How many illegal immigrants do you know, and how are they affecting you? Do you think all immigrants are illegal?

I don't believe in putting someone else down because they are an immigrant. This country is full of immigrants from all different countries and that is what makes this country great. I do believe that if you are living in this country you should learn the language.

I don't think all immigrants are illegal.
They affect LEGAL American buy using up our tax dollars. Did you know that illegals are driven to doctors the doctor bills are paid no matter what it cost, even has far a surgery. There are people that did everyday in America because they don't have the insurance , but illegal immigrants are given what they need when they need it. They are even given food stamp cards. Do you think mexico would do this if illegal Americans went to mexico,canada,india etc... NO they would not.

No, not all immigrants are illegal.. Those who are illegal crossed a border, or showed up in a raft... Those immigrants who are legal come w/ a VISA....What irks me is how some people think that all "Immigrants" or "Illegals" are hispanics. There are asian, european, african, and many other immigrants in the U.S. My family is from Cuba, and they came w/ a VISA. Yet, there are some cubans who arrive in a raft. Those come here illegally but are given the opportunity to stay if they touch land because Cuba is a communist country....

I think most Americans would be less concerned about illegal immigrants if they did not qualify for federally-funded programs, because they certainly fill a need and in many cases, pay taxes.

I know several because they've clean my house over a number of years and nannied for my kids. Not all are illegal, but many do not return when their visas expire, which then makes them illegal.

I don't know any illegal immigrants. They don't affect me in any way that I know of. Not all immigrants are illegal,my Grandma was an immigrant.

almost got in a fist fight @ my daughters school over this. Americans are taught our version of english from day 1 in the school system. To hear someone speaking spanish in a public school that MY tax dollars pay for is upsetting. If i was living a foreing country, i would learn the language. and before you say i am prejudiced, yes i am white and american indian but my son is half mexican. he speaks only english around me

I think most people are referring to the truck/van loads of illegal mexicans they see mowing lawns and cleaning houses for lazy people. using all of our gasoline, ripping the system at the emergency room, I could go on.

I dont know, but really if you're going to live in America they should learn our freaken language which is English. You go into restaurants or corner stores and half the time they spend stuttering their words and you dont knwo what the hell theyre talking about. IF YOU'RE FORREIGN AND LIVING HERE HAVE THE DECENCY TO LEARN OUR LANGUAGE. That was my little notice, thankyou.
