Add ammonia to the wash.

Rewash & remove from machine promptly. A fabric softtner or a dryer sheet would help too. If the clothes are white though then bleach would be best. If color I suggest using Clorox for Colors, but if it is only the smell your concerned about a simple rewash ought to work. Did you leave the clothesin the washer & forget to transfer to the dryer? I've done that & a rewash works fine. Now if its been multiple days that the clothes were wet/damp then I'd REALLY suggest some type of Clorox. Good luck.

Adding a cup of ammonia along with detergent in the wash cycle and a cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle is usually very effective for removing odors from clothing.

Rewash clothes and remove from washer promptly. Dry in dryer with scented dryer sheets. Remove and fold.

I have been told that a capful of ammonia in your laundry will help rid the annoying smell, plus remove any grease stains.

wash them over again . use the tide detergent with febreze or use the gain detergent original scent. also use the downy with febreze fabric softner. it really makes them smell good!

Bleach is the only chemical known to kill mold, but you cant use on colors and it destroys some fabrics.

try vinegar it worked for me, I rewashed them with soap and vinegar. About 1 cup per washer load.

next time you wash them put a bit of baking soda in the wash with them
