There are different blood types depending on your heritage. You can be either A, B, AB or O and either + or - as well. You can only donate your blood to A+ people and can receive blood from either O+, A+, A- or O- I believe.

My wife has that book, too....I think it's BS.
Blood type simply refers to a couple of extra proteins that some people have in their blood. If you don't have either of them, you're type 0....If you have one of them, you're type A...if you have the other one, you're type B....if you have BOTH of em, you're AB.
It really doesn't affect you at all, unless you need a transfusion. One type isn't any better or worse than the other. Just different.
Positive or Negative is yet another protein which may be present. This only becomes a factor if the mother is negative and the father is positive. If you need more info, just PM me.

In addition to clinical and genealogical significant, some people believe blood types has homeopathic influence. Also in many Asian societies people believe blood type determines personalities as well.

in answer to your question ppl with types A & B blood can only be used for ppl with ppl that have that particular blood type. But ppl with type O blood can give it to anyone with any of these blood types.
