not anymore...they have had a huge collapse...they will be lucky now to get the wild card

It doesn't really matter anyways because the Yankees are winning the whole thing

I think they can still do it. Don't forget the White Sox went through a rough spell last season when it looked like Cleveland was going to overtake them. If the Tigers can regain some of the consistency they had for the first, geez, two-thirds of the season, they'll be in.

That said, being from Chicago, I'm hoping the White Sox will either overtake the Tigers or at least win the Wild Card. (I"m actually a Cubs fan, though. Confusing, eh?) The Twins are on quite a roll but Santana can't carry them all of the way.

Something tells me, however, that the '07 World Series is going to involve the New York subway system.

Thanks for indulging my rambling thoughts.

Sad to say but the Detroit Tigers will not win the Division. They might make the Playoffs as a Wildcard but they wouldn't pass the first round. They were very good at the start of the season but during the final stretch of it, Detroit is showing their vulnerability. They lack experience in tightly contested games and also do not have any playoff experience to show.

I love how they turned around this season but its not going to be enough!!!

I surely hope they do. But take a look at what happened to the Red Wings and Pistons this past season. They both had the best records, were #1 and favored to win it all, then they both screwed up in the playoffs. Let's just hope the Tigers learned something from their mistakes.

I think the Twins are going to overtake them. But, Detroit will get the wildcard against the Yankees and lose in 4.

Yankees are the best team in baseball. forget the mets, look who they played all year the NL are you serious. Let them play the AL for 85% of the season instead of the 15% they did play and its a wrap, Yankees are the best

They might be able to hang on now!

The news that Francisco Liriano will be out the rest of the regular season is disheartening.

Although a huge ROAR could be heard coming from the Tiger clubhouse.

No, they will be caught by the Twins this weekend and passed next week. I hope they hang on to win the Wild Card.
