The correct answer is not "yes, she can" but yes she will. Birth control pills come in a pack with 28 actual pills and some packs come with an additional 7 placebo pills that contain no medication but are there to help a woman remember to take a pill everyday. When the actual pills are completed, a woman will have her period. She begins a new cycle of pills after a 7 day interval.
BilliBoy, thanks for your e-mails to me. I was unable to answer because your address hasn't been confirmed with Yahoo but you can fix that. Yes, there's a med called Anya, available in Canada that stops menstruation however, safety studies on the long-range effects have not yet been done. I wouldn't recommend it until the facts are all in.

Yes. In most cases women take 3 weeks of pills with hormones that prevent pregnancy. Then, they take a week of pills that do nothing and generally have their period at that time. You take the pills that contain no hormones just so you stay in the habit of taking the pill everyday. (Also, the pill is most effective when taken at the same time every day) A woman can take the pill and skip the "fake" ones and continue onto more pills with hormones if she chooses to skip her periods, but this is not always the safest idea.

Yes. You take 3 weeks of pills with hormones and then you have one week with either no pill or a placebo. That's when she'll have her period.
