You are not being selfish you are thinking logically. You have 2 children at home and one that could make an appearance any day now. You will need him close by to get the kids properly taken care of and get you to the hospital. Hunting season isnt just that weekend it lasts for a while. He will get over it. And if its a boy maybe name it Hunter or something like that as a reminder that he should be glad he stayed.
Best of luck.

I think you are being completely reasonable. I can't believe he would really want to take a chance on missing the birth of his child; it is such an amazing experience. Maybe he is thinking that this may be the last time for a while that he will be able to do a trip like that with his buddies, and I understand those feelings, but being there for you and your unborn child is much more important at this time. Just try to tell him how you feel without being accusing or hurtful...he should understand. Good luck and congrats!

Selfish ? I think not . He was there when he put his order in for this baby . He should be there for the delivery . Ten days two days what's the difference ? If it was a wide screen TV coming any time in the next ten days . I wonder if he would want to be off hunting with his friends then ?

No you're not selfish!!!!! Men just don't get it (sorry, guys, but it's pretty universal.) So many things could happen 10 days before your due date that he would want to be around for. Plus it's a pretty insecure time for you and the emotional support from your husband would really come in handy.

He gets to do alot of fun stuff with friends while I stay home and stay sober. He is his own man and he will go if he wants but i trust he will make the right choise and stay home. Its just to close I need him there and I told him that!

I don't think you are selfish at all. Anything can happen so I don't understand why he would even want to leave you this close to your due date. Just tell him that you love him and that you really want him there. He can go after the baby is born.

I think I would do the same, why do we have to stay home while they get to go out and have fun, it's both your son and you need him now. If he does live, I also hope your baby comes that day, we would never ever ask for anything after that. Good luck hun, dont feel selfish

Life works in crazy ways, my husband would give anything to be able to be whith me when our first baby is born, but he will be in Iraq and won't be able to come. Anyway, it might not be as important for your husband as it is for you, after all this is your third baby. However things like this happen only once in a life time. He might be wanting to do it before the baby is born because he might not be able to do it later and I don't think you are being selfish because I would love it for my husband to be with me when our baby is born, so you will just have to persuade him into staying.

Oh No he didn't say he was going hunting upstate right before you give birth!!!!!!
There is NO WAY I would go for that. My husband is going to an auto show out of state 3.5 months before I am due, and that is the very last trip he will be taking, for sure..

It's him that is selfish. You could have the baby while he's gone. And hunting season last a few months so he could plan to go sometime after the baby is born.
