It depends on the person. I get migraines from chemicals in processed foods and MSG. I can't pinpoint everything down so I try to stay away from crappy foods and it helps. Red wine and nuts cause headaches for some. You just have to track you eating for a few weeks to determine what the problem is for you.

usually it's chocolate, daily caffeine intake, sulifites (food preservatives like in wine), MSG, alcohol, and food intolerances that you may have to things like wheat, corn, eggs, dairy and so forth. It might be worth it to see if you can figure out which foods you have an intolerance to by doing an elimination diet. You basically stop eating foods that are known to be the most common problems like nuts, eggs, dairy, wheat and corn for about 6 to 8 weeks. Then you introduce one at a time to your diet for a week. If you have a bad reaction to the food are re-introduced, that is usually the problem.

Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) is probably public enemy number one when it comes to food additives and migraines.
There simply isn’t enough space here to provide a comprehensive list of all food and food additives suspect to play a part in triggering migraines, but here a list of the most common. (link below)

I find chinese food( msg) , red wine, gorgonzola cheese, orange juice on occasion, any perfume with orange flower or white musk make me go through the roof. Also on cheap frosting on cakes, too much beer. Flashing lights ( towtrucks in particular), even police cars. two excedrine, 1 coca cola a cold quite room sans clothing for 2 hours seems to help just make sure to get the excedrine in as soon as you know it is coming. good luck they're a ***** and I know all about it.

It is different for everyone. Some of the common ones are cheese, chocolate, MSG, deli meats, wine or alcohol. Even certain smells can cause migraines (they do for me).

For me, caffeine was the biggest contributing factor. I eliminated all soda and coffee from my diet, and I can't tell you how much this helped.
Try to stay away from chocolates too, if you can = )
