basically it is bone with teeth on the sides of it so it is fairly strong. could you cut wood with it? not likely. they use their "saws" in a sweeping motion rather than back and forth. they search for prey and start flailing their saw back and forth over the tartget hoping that the teeth will impale or wound the animal to the point where it can be caught. they do not saw into anything. so it's about as strong as an average human bone.

pretty strong-one time in kewalo basin in hawaii thois tourist was swimming in a *do not swim danger---and a sawfish attacked her and cut off her left arm---

strong enough to cut through titanium... it can sink warships... they have to be culled so they don't saw right through the Earth too.

most naturally made sharp blades are basically for one time use and get replaced or having regenerated newer blade.
