You have to state two conditions

first one, the one you have stated

45-45=45

then the obvious

45-45=0

if you add these two what do you get?

45-45 + 45-45=45
0+0=45

but then, taking the first asumtion that 45-45=45 you get

45 = 45 - 45 = 0 = 45

so 45-45=45

in other words, 45 =45 - 45 but is also equal to zero
45 = 0 = 45 - 45

I'm not sure but I think it might be possible if you calculate on a different base than our usual one (base 10).
