You need to fine that answer to that one yourself...I would suggest that you find a new shrink...he should be giving you advise and letting you decide....not telling you what to do..he is there to advise you....or maybe he should advise you on how to compare with the process until you can figure out what you want to do...

Long distance is hard. I had to do that and we are still together, but we almost didnt make it. Thats hard...is it permanate?...will you live together again?......Maybe you could try having an open relationship for awhile and see if that changes anything.

Well, your therapist knows all of the details and we don't. The advice sounds legitimate to me. The quicker you move on and give yourself space to heal, the better off you will be.

shrinks aren't supposed to 'suggest' anything. they're supposed to ask you questions which you can find YOUR OWN answer to.
