I just type and then hit “CTRL” & “ENTER”

When using IE, CTRL+ENTER is a very useful shortcut. It puts 'http://www' before the text in the address bar and '.com' at the end.

For example, if you type "netscape" and then press Ctrl+Enter, IE will autocomplete the URL "netscape" to "http://www.netscape.com/" and the browser will load the www.netscape.com site.
