if you have six.. you still don't know why?

i'm 70% covered and i know why.

first of all do it for yourself, what's your reason? not what everone else thinks or does it for... then that wouldn't be philosophy that would be fashion.. and we all know what fashion is.

don't think about it.... if you don't know why then don't worry, the why will come.

then you'll know and it'll be an honest knowing.

not that fakery crap that most do it for... to fit in.. to be someone.. to look tough.. this and that.. and the contrived logic and reasoning.

just sit back and allow it to happen.

it's obvious you like them.. isn't that why enough for now...?

enjoy the experience, color, having them.

:D

When you get a tattoo you are saying to yourself and the world, This is how I am about (whatever) and it's how I'll aways be. So you are saying, I have a rock in my life - don't collide with me or you'll break.

Tattoo is art - from two points of view; the tatooer's and the tatooee's. You are asking from the tatooee's point of view (unless you also did your own tattoo on yourself).

Tattooing has religious origins. Art, like religion, is an attempt to put yourself and the world 'on hold' - to freeze things in the now - to deny change. It's a statement of will.

The tattoo sometimes makes the person. It's not always about fashion, just the need to show people how you are in the inside.
Tattoos, aren't really that recent, they've been around for centuries.
I heard that monks used to tattoo their heads or bodies to show their dedication to a divinity.

there isnt a why or why not that is good for everyone my why is they represent me at a certain point of my life. my why not is i dont agree with it. another one of my why is will it shock people into not wanting to talk to me. and sometimes it actually works. but i love it for the art, what you have to go threw to get it and all the process of the history and evolution on tattoos. for some one else maybe to cover a scar or some feble minded girl becouse its cute.( i hate that resone) others say it is unholly or to unkown for the long term effect of ink in your skin. but in the end it is up to you it is art. a form of expresionism and will follow any other form of art.

Tattoos are a work of art that represent your state of being at a certain point in time. At least that is what I think.
