Why do Muslims think it is okay to kill the Jews but its not okay to kill Muslims?

As some of you may of heard by now Pope Benedict was reading a passage that was written hundreds of years ago comparing Islam to Christianity. To sum it all up the passage basically stated that Islam was evil (not my thoughts, it was what was stated in the passage) But anyway many Muslims, and Muslim leaders got offended by the remarks calling the Pope a evil man who wants to kill the Muslim people and a evil man who would go down in history with the likes of Adolf Hitler and Mussolini. I find that to be real extreme, since many muslims want to kill out the Jewish people (which is what Hitler tried to do). Which brings me back to my question, Why do Muslims think it is ok for muslim leaders to call for the killing of Jews but it is not ok for anyone to call for the killing of Muslims. (not that the pope was calling for the killings of muslims, that is what the muslim leaders took the speech as)

Yah, way tired of all the double standard and two-faced bologna out of the Muslims.

Muslims don’t want you or I to see the irony in Muslims being able to desecrate a Christian Temple in Jerusalem by spreading feces on images of Christ? But a Christian leader (the Pope) can’t remind people of what 14th century Byzantine emperor Manuel Paleolous II said about the profit Mohammad several hundred years ago. It wasn’t even the Popes own words or thought. He was repeating what Paleolous II supposedly said. . What’s with the hypersensitivity anyway?

The Muslims can dance in the streets; shout and yell; raise their fists all they want to but I do not believe the Pope owes Muslims an apology for anything.

Some have contended the terrorists are a form of radical Islam and a small minority of the faith. They say the large majority of Muslims are a peaceful people. I am beginning to wonder about these claims when I see the reported millions in the streets protesting what the Pope repeated.

Two faced or what? Is Islam a peaceful religion or a violence based religion? By what I am seeing and hearing, I would have to conclude the latter.

Enough with all the pretending like it is OK and looking the other way. We need to be challenging Muslims for their actions, including their silence when their brothers are violent. Either renounce the violence, or admit it is alright with you and you are part of the plan.

Trying to figure out Islam and its true stances on everything from jihad to .... well , just about all social / political stuff..... would require theses to be written . Great books have been and i'm sure are being written on the topics now. Try David Selbourne's book The Losing Battle With Islam. Selbourne's an Oxford professor. Makes tons of great points. You learn a lot.

The thing about Islam is it can really be taken two ways. It could almost be said , in a sense, that it can be almost like two different religions in itself ! That's my educated (non-muslim) opinion. It's a religion of peace, in many ways, yes, but it's definitely also a religion of fighting and war. It's very definitely both. Another thing about Islam is it's essentially totally unreformed since its inception in the 7th century, and therefore has not "adapted" much to modern society, etc, at all really. Most muslims say an islamic "reformation" is impossible anyway as they believe Gd gave humanity Islam directly , through the Prophet Muhammad, and therefore it really cannot be "changed" at all without "altering Gd's will" or Gd's words, His "message".

As far as we Jews, I think they (the Muslims) might vary in opinions of course, but , I do think many of them ( today at least) feel that it is permissible to kill Israeli Jews due to the fact that they view them as illegal occupiers. To many Muslims , there is no distinction between an IDF soldier and a regular Israeli Jew. Some muslims may say there is a distinction and civilian Israeli Jews should not be targeted. Overall i've sensed alot of anti-Jewish sentiment in general today from the Muslim world (although they call it "anti-Zionism" and usually insist they don't hate Jews in general). Look at the things that are printed in Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc., in school books and newspapers, Jews , and Christians, depicted in Nazi like cartoon caricatures as "apes and pigs", etc. At the end of the day, I don't believe that Muslims in general are NOT anti-Jewish.. Even though they'll tell you they are not.

I think that islam encourage its followers to kill people who have other faiths. But this has resulted into the killing of even muslims by the muslims who belong to other sects of islam. Once you call muslims as killers, they become so angry that they will not hesitate to kill you.

That's a dumb question, dude. Islam DEFINITELY doesn't say kill jews. Just remember when Jews lived in every Arabic country, they were respected and had their own properties and were, as usual, richer than everybody else. Islam says, defend yourselves and get back your lands. It's not fair to kick the Palestinians out of their homes and spread them in every country possible and give their LANDs and FIELDS to Jews from all over the world. WHY IS EVERYBODY SO BLIND TO SEE WHO THE VICTIM HERE IS?????????
