Use various shapes and sizes of balloons; longer ones for arms/legs, round for a head, and you could probably group several long ones together for a torso.

I don't think I need to go into any details if you want to get more anatomically correct lol

Anyway, in case you don't know how to make a pinata, start by blowing up a balloon, tying it off, and using thick string you can tie that to a coat hanger (which makes it very convenient for hanging to dry). Next cut newspaper into strips appx. one inch wide, and whatever length you feel appropriate for the balloon you're using. Mix flour and water until you have a semi-runny paste (the runnier it is, the more layers you will have to put on and overall the strength will be less). Dip the paper in the "paste", and using your pointer and middle finger like scissors, remove any excess. Lay the paper strip on the balloon, and repeat until you have one full layer. Rip some paper if you need to "fill in" any spots. Once you're done, hang to dry for at least 24 hours (until there are no soft spots) and apply a second layer. How strong you want to make it depends on how many layers. I usually use between 3-6 layers, allowing a little extra drying time between layers 4, 5 and 6.

In order to attach the pieces together, you could use duct tape or glue. Or if you were really up for a challenge, you could try having taped/glued the balloons together and covering the entire thing at one time--just leave a small opening for each balloon so you can deflate it. I'm going to have to try that sometime!

Once your shell is completely dry, take a scissors and cut a small slit in the exposed part of the ballon, and hold on tight--the balloon should pull away from the inside and you can remove it easily.

Lastly, decorate! I've found that cutting strips of colored tissue paper/wrap into long, 2" wide sectons work best; fold them in half the long way, cut the folded edge about 3/4 the way across to the raw edge about 1/2" apart, and then turn the strip inside out; you'll have ruffles! Just glue the raw edges shut and then you can glue that "flap" directly to the shell.

Best of luck (and I'd be happy to hear how your pinata turns out!)

Start with wire, and form it into a body shape. Cover with newspaper dipped in some sort of watery paste. Let it dry. Paint or decorate appropriately.
