May 26, 2001. Derek Jeter was down in FL playing with the single A team recovering from an injury. My friend and I were sitting behind the dugout and I asked him for an autograph right after the game. He promised, but left after the sixth inning. I was crushed.
Okay, fast foward four months, September 26, 2001. Yankees vs. Devil Rays at Tropicana Field. Derek Jeter was signing autographs, and it was four-five people deep , and I was all the way in the back. I was yelling, "Mr. Jeter! Mr. Jeter! Can I please have your autograph?" but he couldn't hear me. My mother made her way over and told me to remind him about his promise. So I started yelling, "Mr. Jeter! Mr. Jeter! Can I please have your autograph? You promised me back in May, remember?" He was signing an autograph at the time. He looked up, looked directly at me, then finished signing the ball he had. He walked over to me, took my ball, and signed it. It was one of the greatest moments in my life.

when i was younger, my dad took my sisters and I to a 76ers basketball game. We had really good seats, close to the floor, and we were there early for the pre-game warmups. While we were sitting there, a ball came flying into the stands and hit my sister in the face. She was crying, and was very upset (she was like 6 at the time). Before the game started, Big Shot, the team mascot came out with a ball signed by all the players on the team. Of course I took the ball out and played with it a few days later, and all of the signatures were lost!!

Leroy Burrell former world record holder in the 100meter. I asked him for it he said yes. That's the best and only autograph I received.

My Family was shopping in Salt Lake City. We went to the food court
at the mall to eat lunch I noticed that some guys in front of me had on DC United shirts. So I asked them where they bought them in SLC they informed me that when you play for the DC United they give the shirts to you. We were lucky and got 6 players to sign for us.

I don't have "best autograph" stories.
They are all rather unpleasant, especially my encounter with Joe DiMaggio
