Chemical formula for nitric acid is HNO3

I do not have capability to type sub 3 ie three should be half the size of other latters.

This is the proper way to write the formula:

HNO3 (aq)

You can't write an "l" in the parenthesis. It's an aqueous solution, in which the ions dissolve.

HNO3 (s) + H20 -----------> NO3 - + H3O +
