I've noticed on all the fuel pumps, a notice that Federal law prohibits the use of low sulfer content diesel in 2007 model vehicles powered by diesel fuel.

ultra low sulfur diesel. you will probably want to use an additive with it because it will not lubricate as well as the diesel used now.

Our esteemed government has mandated that low sulfur fuel only for 2007. So the refineries will be making this only, starting in 2007. As far as I know this fuel will not lubricate as well as the current higher sulfur fuel, so all diesel engines may not last as long.

I know there is currently "diesel" and "off road diesel".... using the off road fuel isn't bad for the engine, it pollutes a little more since it is refined slightly less, and typically costs less. I'm not certain what the difference is for the 2007 vehicles. Sorry if this doesn't help any.
