There are many computer and literature companies looking for previous elementary or reading teachers to help compile their books. Also, you can become a reading teacher, by gcalling the district to see the requiments necessary. If you have a BA many schools are so in demand that they will allow you to take a test and give you an emergency credential.
However, if you would prefer to work for a book company, look up children's reading programs on the internet or call the school to see the programs that they use. Then call the company and see if they are hirirng.
