Actually, Stargate SG-1 as a show is finished after season TEN.

Will they keep going? Yes, but probably not as a television series. According to various sources--including Brad Wright, Rob Cooper, Michael Shanks, and Jason Momoa--there are plans to continue the SG-1 story either on film, or as a made-for-TV-movie. Probably even more than one movie (theatrical or otherwise).

MGM, the parent company which owns the Stargate franchise, as been wanting to put Stargate back on the silver screen for 5 years now, and the stupidity exhibited by the SciFi channel in cancelling the long-running series is just the opportunity they've needed. They are also looking to launch a possible third television series, which may or may not include some of the characters from SG-1. The SG-1 cast may also appear in episodes of Atlantis.

Gone, yes... but not forgotten!
