I've been a member of Netflix now for two years, and the biggest positive is the selection of movies and television shows they offer. Blockbuster - both online and stores - don't come close to the selection that Netflix offers (though I really wish they'd add "Mythbusters" to their catalog). I'm a music junkie, and I've found discs through Netflix that I never knew existed before.
The only negative is that if you plow through the movies and send them back the day after you get them, after a while you'll notice you don't get all the new releases as quickly as you might have before. Netflix got in trouble for this some time ago and settled a class-action lawsuit - but it's never a guarantee you're going to get those movies if you walk in Blockbuster at opening time either. There is occasionally a lag time in getting movies delivered or checked in - but it was never as bad as Blockbuster's service.
I agree with everyone else - test-drive the service first and see if it meets your needs.

have been using netflix for almost a year now. Love it! The only thing that might bug some people is the how fast or not-fast the postal service is... sometimes returning movies takes two days, sometime longer. But once the movie is listed as returned on the Netflix site, I always get a movie the next day. Another thing I like about them is if the movie on the top of your list isnt available at the moment, they send you the next available one, but keep the un-available movie at the top so when it does become available it gets sent to you. One more thing thats great- if you get a damaged movie all you have to do is report it, they automatically send you another copy without waiting for you to return the first. (dont try to keep one copy though, they will bill you for it if they dont get it back)
There is a 30 day free trial all you need to do is sign up. If you dont like it or dont think your saving any money cancel it.

I have used Netflix for about the last 6 months and I haven't had any problems with them. I like not having to go into the movie store and look and look and then wait in line. It is very convenient for me when I don't want to watch pay per view or whatever might be on television. Also, you can keep them as long as you won't with no late fee charges. I get 2 per month we watch them on the weekend and send them right back. I really end up with about 3 per month. I like the fact that you can keep them as long as you want and like I mentioned there are no late fees.

I like the service. First there is the selection. They had new releases plus hard to find movies. Then there is the convenience The movies just show up at your door and then you just return them whenever you feel like it. No late fees. Also they are speedy. Also something cool they added is you can put your account on hold while you are busy and don't have time to watch movies.

Pros: Great movie selection. Keep a DVD for as long as you want. Watch one, sent it out, forget about it. In two days you get another one.
Cons: None, unless you consider 5.99 for the cheapest plan a "con."
