My son is 8mths old and my hair has been breaking off really bad. The beautician says my hair is healthy and that its a side effect of having children...some women experience hair loss while others experience thinning. My hair is growing but when ever i run my fingers or a comb through it, i get about 6 strands of hair in my hand. Will this ever stop?

I know what you are going through. It seems to take a long time to stop, I know. When I was pregnant with both of my children, my hair was so thick and full of body. When you are pregnant, you don't lose the hair that you normally do, so that when you have your baby, your body "catches up". All you can do is take good care of yourself, eat right and it will stop on its own. Please try not to worry, I am sure that doesn't help the situation. Good luck.

It will stop eventually. It happened to me and lasted for about 2 months. The most annoying part is when new baby hairs start growing in. Looks like someone chopped your bangs too short. Hang in there.

Yea. It happens. Happened with me too. You have to increase your calcium intake. Consult your gaenacologist. It will stop.
