I've gone thru several kinds and at least a dozen sprinkler heads in as many months. They either stop working, fall apart, jamb, won't spin or any number of problems. I am more concerned with the type that does the long feed in spurts (similar to those one would see on the freeway landscape or at large nurseries), but I can use the other types as well. The junk they sell at Home Depot and Lowes is mostly made in China and good for less than two months, as a rule. Websites, references, anything?? Desperate!!!

In my opinion HUNTER INDUSTRIES makes some of the best sprinkler systems on the market. They're headquartered in San Marcos, California and they make various sprinkler heads for homeowners and golfcourses.

They're the first to introduce the gear-driven rotor sprinkler. They also manufacture valves, controllers, central controllers and weather sensors. You'll find that most landscape professionals and golf-course superintendents use their products.

What's nice about these Hunter Sprinkler heads is that you can adjust the distance, angle and also the amount of water to be distributed for each sprinkler. I installed their sprinklers in my backyard over 12 years ago and haven't had any problems with them.

Here's their website;

You can find a local distributor in your area at their website and purchase their products online from a number of suppliers.

I highly recommend their products!

GOOD LUCK!

First they are not doing well. None are doing anywhere nearly as well as we are. China is communist. At first the workers had little or no choice and still have not a lot. Since China has started dealing with the world the workers are gaining power and wealth is forcing changes in the government. Of course you can force slaves to work hard but in a socialist system like most of Europe you have to depend on immigrants to do the work because the citizens know they can go on the dole.

try rain bird brand. Don't know if they're made in the US, but my friend used them in his sprinkler system and they've been working fine for about 4 years.

you think you may have too much pressure in the line? Too much water pressure can really damage a sprinkler head. Go for commercial grade heads.

http://www.irrigationtutorials.com/links/index.htm This irrigation specialist reviews irrigation products, gives both on-line and off-line sources and even has do it yourself tutorials. I think you will find what you need here. We had the same problems with our system and now use Irratrol which used to be Hardie, but everything is lasting longer.
